At Alfa/2.0 you’ll find some of the most respected and experienced professional in the business. Starting with our founder Alberto Carrión. Here’s a brief history…

  His career began in the early 70’s when he became part of a group called New Zealand Trading Co. Alberto called this period "A fun time”. Where he played all over the United States and gave him the chance to write his first songs. After the group’s breakup, Alberto decided to embark on a career as a jingle composer. He did some work for local advertising agencies in Puerto Rico, but still had the itch to do some songwriting. Then friends such as Danny Rivera and Lucecita encouraged him to ahead and give it a try. And give it a try he did. The result was an album, "Alberto Carrión: Letra y Música" which was very successful and even turned out a big hit single "Amanecer Borincano". Afterwards, he recorded four more albums.

  Alberto then went back to working on jingles. But creating demos was getting to be too expensive .This made him build a studio on the garage of his Ocean Park home. He named the studio Alfa Recordings. After years of devoting his life to Alfa Recordings and to recording jingles, the itch for songwriting came back again. So he recently renewed his recording career, launching an album called "Como quiero ser". In which one song became popular on local radio. So like everything in life, everything seems to keep evolving as so have we. Alfa Recordings became much more than just a recording studio and has now evolved into a full service production company. Which is why Alfa recordings is now named Alfa 2.0. Alberto doesn’t seem to stop pursuing his dreams since

now he’s still enjoying both his work at Alfa 2.0 and his recording career.
